Åmells was founded in 1922 and is today one of the leading fine art dealerships in the world within Scandinavian art. The expertise ranges from Old Master paintings to contemporary photography, but Scandinavian art from the 19th and 20th century is the core of our business. Our client base is international and includes both museums and collectors. Our gallery in Stockholm is an established meeting place for buying and selling high quality art and we buy and sell on commission or purchase art works directly from the owner. Exhibitions of classic, modern and contemporary art are held regularly at our own gallery on Birger Jarlsgatan 14 in Stockholm.
